Sun, December 8th, 2013 | 11:30 am

Recommended for children ages 3–7.

Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue by Anna Harwell Celenza

Listen to klezmer, foxtrot, ragtime, and blues while learning about Gershwin’s process and struggle in creating a love song for New York that defined American music. We will also be listening to a recording of “Rhapsody in Blue” performed by Gershwin and the Columbia Jazz Band in 1925.

From the seventeenth century to the twenty-first, through fiction and through fact, hear tales of NYC and the people who made it great.

Support for the Macy's Sunday Story Hour provided by the Macy's Foundation.
