The Robert H. and Clarice Smith New York Gallery of American History
Reception: Up to 450 guests
With direct access from Central Park West, our expanded lobby and its vaulted ceilings make for quite a grand entrance to the museum. The Robert H. and Clarice Smith Gallery strikes a perfect balance between history and modernity. Its six original columns, built in 1904, feature digital monitors which can be customized to make the gallery your own. Guests can enjoy interactive touch screens and museum artifacts, which represent themes in American history with a special emphasis on New York.
Whether used solely for a reception or in conjunction with a program or seated dinner in one of our additional spaces, guests will have a special opportunity to explore works from our permanent collection. It also serves as the ideal place for registration, breakfasts, breaks and even cocktail receptions for daytime conferences.
