A square gold-colored metal ashtray with a black border and a print of the 1964 World's Fair "Unisphere" in the center of the front marked "New York World's Fair 1964-65". The back reads in black on gold "Unisphere/ Symbol of the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, it is dedicated to man's aspirations toward 'Peace Through Understanding' and symbolizes his achievements in an expanding universe. Of stainless steel, it is a huge representation of our Planet Earth, 140 feet high, 120 feet in diameter, and weighing just scant of 1,000,000 lbs. Its design and construction involved complexities requiring the resolving of unknown factors many times those encountered in even our most modern complex buildings. It is a tribute to man's ingenuity and engineering skill as much as it symbolizes his achievements in an 'expanding universe.' "
