Silver sports badge consisting of red, blue, and green plaid grosgrain silk ribbon with silver ring suspended at lower end by bracket soldered to upper back, bearing engraved legend around inner edge: "Excelsior Quoiting Club,/For Annual Competition"; date engraved horizontally: "18/72"; at upper end of ribbon is shield-like pin-back silver badge with applied silver ornament in the shape of thistle; below, four silver pin-back ruled plaquettes with scalloped edges, displaying engraved winner names and competition dates, are attached to ribbon.
