Description: 
Order of the crown, Italy. White enamel cross with gold double figure 8's in the interstices. The obverse consists of a central medallion with a gold crown on a blue ground. The reverse shows a black eagle on a gold ground.

The Order of the Crown of Italy was established by King Victor Emmanuel II in 1868. The order has five classes. It was no longer conferred after the death of King Umberto II in 1983.
