Description: 
Bronze medal suspended from double bars with pin back; circular medal depicting relief image of William T. Sampson in profile wearing military uniform, inscribed "U.S. NAVAL CAMPAIGN WEST INDIES 1863" in relief across top, "WILLIAM T SAMPSON / COMMANDER IN CHIEF" inscribed in relief on either side; obverse depcting relief image of three uniformed men standing on a ship holding weapons, "GUANTANAMO / JUNE 11-12-13" inscribed in relief within a wreath and banner cartouche at botom; "MANZANILLO" inscribed in relief on obsverse of top bar with roping border, flanked by small anchors within circular rope frames; striped red and blue silk ribbon connects bar and medal.
