Description: 
Leather and brass baldric; rectangular, black leather-covered wooden box with brass sling swivels fastened to slanted sides, and cast brass eagle with shield on breast, three arrows in one talon, and branch in other talon fastened to shield-shaped leather flap.

This cartridge box was probably part of a set of military accoutrements that belonged to John Madden.
