Bayonet fragment; triangular blade connected to elbow.
This bayonet was found by Reginald P. Bolton, William L. Calver, and others before the formation of the Field Exploration Committee in 1918, at 191st Street and Broadway in Washington Heights, Manhattan. The broken bayonet was probably thrown away by a British or Hessian soldier.
