Description
Pair of oak Renaissance Revival armchairs made of relic wood from Washington's New York City residence; open back with arched crest rail with molded cornice surmounted with carved cartouche with "1 VP" and "2 VP" in gothic script, pierced splat with central circular panel, and a tri-lobed lower back rail; open arms with upholstered arms with curved supports; upholstered spring seat with serpentine front rail; turned front legs raked rear legs.
