Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, a junior college of the City University of New York, opened in 1968 at 475 Grand Concourse in the Bronx as the first branch of the university deliberately placed in an economically depressed area. This button refers to efforts to save the school's emphasis on bilingual education.
