Description
Brass struck medal with obverse depicting bust of admiral Boscawen in armor facing right with surrounding legend: "ADMl. BOSCAWEN . TOOK . CAPE . BRETON." Reverse shows ocean with five ships in foreground; beyond, a view of attack on the city, with cannon ball striking high tower on a hill; legend above: "LOUISBOURG"; in exergue: "IUL 25 1758" followed by small circle flanked by two halfmoons. Hole punched at upper left segment.
