Description 
Silver die-struck and engraved medal with obverse bearing engraved inscription surrounded by laurel and oak wreath: "Awarded/to/Gerardus Post/for superiority/in/Oratory/Wallacks/Feb. 18th../1862." Reverse contains engraved inscription surrounded by border of Greek key ornament: "Students/Col. Coll./SemiAnnual." Medal is suspended on dark blue silk ribbon drawn through loop attached at top center.
