Ben and Jerry's Scoop Truck to be parked outside to celebrate flavor anniversary and Grateful Dead exhibition Ben & Jerry's Free Ice Cream Truck Parked Outside New-York Historical Society
As part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of New York Super Fudge Chunk flavor ice cream, the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream truck will give away free samples outside the New-York Historical Society as part of their six-week tour of the city. They will also be giving away free Cherry Garcia mini cups in honor of the Society's current exhibition on display, Grateful Dead: Now Playing at the New-York Historical Society.
This exhibition, now extended through September 5, presents the first large-scale exhibition of materials from the Grateful Dead Archive. Drawn almost exclusively from the Archive housed at the University of California Santa Cruz, the exhibit chronicles the history of the band, its music, and phenomenal longevity through an array of original art and documents related to the band, its members, performances, and productions. Exhibition highlights from the archive include concert and recording posters, album art, large-scale marionettes and other stage props, banners, and vast stores of decorated fan mail.
