NEW-YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND DIMENNA CHILDREN'S HISTORY MUSEUM TO OPEN ON OCTOBER 31, FROM 10 AM, UNTIL 6 PM
Proceeds from Pay-As-You-Wish Halloween Admission
to Benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief
New York City Schools are scheduled to remain closed for a third day due to Hurricane Sandy. The New-York Historical Society hopes to ease life for local residents by offering pay-as-you-wish admission to families visiting the DiMenna Children’s History Museum and exhibitions at the New-York Historical Society Museum on October 31 between 10 am and 6 pm. All proceeds will benefit Hurricane Sandy relief.
Families can attend story times at 11 am, 2 pm and 3 pm as well as scavenger hunts throughout the day. They can also participate in touch object activities and self-guided tours of the exhibition WWII & NYC using Walk in My Shoes Family Gallery Cards, which guide families through the exhibition through the eyes of three different fictional young New Yorkers.
