WWII Activity Cards
For the duration of WWII & NYC, families can explore the exhibition using activity cards that introduce the daily lives of typical New Yorkers as they were impacted by the war. What did people eat, how did their jobs change, who in their family was fighting in the war, and what new skills were they learning? Each card guides your family through the exhibition from the point of view of your fictional New Yorker. You will visit each of the four main sections of the exhibition. Walk in their shoes! Recommended for ages 8 and up. Available at the Membership Desk.

Our exciting series of family programs include a weekly Sunday Story Hour in our new Barbara K. Lipman Children’s History Library, Family Learning Labs, and a chance to meet and greet some of our nation’s founders as well as military units from the 18th and 19th centuries.
