The Strawberry Festival is the New-York Historical Society’s annual luncheon benefit recognizing dynamic women in public life, tracing its roots to 1856.

Founded in 1804, the New-York Historical Society is New York’s first museum whose vast Museum and Library holdings comprise four million items – art, artifacts, objects and documents that chronicle four centuries of American history.

The DiMenna Children’s History Museum has become a magnet not only for children and families on weekends and school holidays but, importantly, for 200,000 New York City public school students for whom the museum serves as a critical adjunct to history education, English language learning and basic literacy.

Proceeds from this event help to support these crucial education programs for our city’s growing population of young people.
